Privacy policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Plumo is built so that we know as little about you as possible. This page says exactly what is and isn't collected, in plain words.
Data controller
The data controller for personal data related to licenses and support is Łukasz Zieliński, a sole trader registered in Poland, VAT ID PL8792413809. You can reach him at [email protected].
The app
- No telemetry. Plumo does not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or any identifier. It has nothing to phone home to.
- Your text. With the on-device engine — Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, llama.cpp or anything else you run — the text you correct never leaves your computer. If you choose a cloud engine, the selected text is sent directly from your computer to that provider (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) using your own API key, under that provider's privacy terms. Plumo has no server in between and never sees your text.
- API keys and licenses are stored in your operating system's secure credential store, never in a file and never transmitted to us.
- Updates. The app periodically fetches a public file describing the latest version. This request carries no personal data and is not logged by us.
Purchases and trials
Payments are handled by an external merchant of record, named on the checkout page and on your receipt. When you buy a license, they collect the data needed to process it (name, email, billing country, payment details) under their own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your license and provide support. We do not receive your payment details.
We use your email only to deliver licenses, respond to support requests, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Legal bases
Delivering your license and answering your support requests is processing we need to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The optional newsletter relies on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — you can withdraw it at any time, for example with the unsubscribe link in every email.
How long we keep data
Order data is kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep it. Support correspondence is kept until your case is closed, plus a reasonable period in case the same issue comes back.
This website
This site is static. It is served by Cloudflare Pages, and downloads are hosted on GitHub. Both may log requests (IP address, user agent) for operational purposes under Cloudflare's privacy policy and GitHub's privacy statement. Fonts are served from this site itself, so your browser makes no requests to any third party to display it.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read and which countries they come from. It loads only if you agree: until you accept, no cookie is set and no request is sent to Google. You choose on the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your decision at any time through the Cookies link in the footer — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
If you accept, Google Analytics stores cookies in your browser (an identifier that recognises a returning visit) and processes your IP address, which Google truncates rather than storing in full. The recipients are Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC (USA); transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and withdrawing it stops any further collection. Analytics data expires automatically according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. We do not use Google's advertising features, remarketing, or data sharing with other Google products, and we never combine analytics data with your purchase or support data.
If you reject — or simply ignore the banner — the site works exactly the same. Nothing is lost by saying no.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in Poland, that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO, uodo.gov.pl).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with an updated date. We will never quietly weaken it.
