Privacy policy

Plumo is built so that we know as little about you as possible. This page says exactly what is and isn't collected, in plain words.
The app
- No telemetry. Plumo does not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or any identifier. It has nothing to phone home to.
- Your text. With the on-device engine (Ollama), the text you correct never leaves your Mac. If you choose a cloud engine, the selected text is sent directly from your Mac to that provider (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) using your own API key, under that provider's privacy terms. Plumo has no server in between and never sees your text.
- API keys and licenses are stored in the macOS login keychain on your Mac, never in a file and never transmitted to us.
- Updates. The app periodically fetches a public file describing the latest version. This request carries no personal data and is not logged by us.
Purchases and trials
Payments and trial registrations are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. When you buy a license or start a trial, Lemon Squeezy collects the data needed to process it (name, email, billing country, payment details) under their privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your license and provide support. We do not receive your payment details.
We use your email only to deliver licenses, respond to support requests, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
This website
This site is static and sets no cookies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log requests (IP address, user agent) for operational purposes under GitHub's privacy statement. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Write to support@getplumo.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with an updated date. We will never quietly weaken it.
